Havelock Island is located nearly 70 kilometres away from Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman Islands. So once you reach Port Blair by sea or by air, you have two choices to reach Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep). Either you can travel by air or by sea. A seaplane or helicopter takes around 20 minutes to reach the island. On the other hand, you can consider taking a ferry, which is our personal recommendation. While government ferries can take around 2.5 hours to travel from Port Blair to Havelock, private ferries take merely 90 minutes.
